Beautiful Craftsmanship and ToneAs a sound-mechanics activist and whistle enthusiast I can say this is the best Shepherds whistle i've come across so far. The tone is absolutely pure and soft, and the pitch range is very variable without much effort. Honestly, anyone who has no experience with shepherd's whistles will not find this to be a difficult tool to learn. It Works!I am whistling impaired. I have had a difficult time getting a consistent sound of either my aluminum whistle or my plastic ones. I heard that corian was great for consistent sound. I began the research and found these Coapman whistles. Not only are they beautiful, I made consistent sounds while still sitting in the parking lot of the post office the day it arrived in the mail. It fits my mouth and has smooth edges, so it doesn't rub like some do. The only thing is......this whistle is so pretty, who will ever take me seriously? It looks like jewelry. Corian Sheepherding whistlesI have never been able to whistle and now I can. I always take it when we take long, off leash walks on the hillsides. I do not use it for herding but when my dog gets too far out or takes off after a jackrabbit I blow the come whistle and she comes. I give one blast for sit and she is sitting.
