Sheepdog Herding Lessons

the toughest dog sport there is!

Extremely challenging sheepdog herding is growing by leaps and bounds here in the US.  Patience, deditation and determination are essential for success in this sport.

Sheep and the facility are included with the instruction.  Lessons usually run 1 1/2-2 hours long and cost $40.00.

One on One-Handler Training

Come out to Summerthyme Farms and receive personalized sheepdog herding training for you and your dog.  Please call (805) 239-4740, for bi-weekly, weekly or other needed intervals of lessons.  Herding lessons can even be arranged for Special Herding Weekends with one or two lessons per day, for an intense learning weekend.  These are great for gifts for that special herder.  Groups are also encouraged.  There is a trailer pad available for those roughing it. 

Our facilities are located in a rural setting on 10 acres with lightly rolling hills in Creston Ca, 20 minutes from Atascadero and Paso Robles on the Central Coast, smack in the middle of wine country.  Home flock sheep are included with the lessons.  Two different pastures along with small pens and panels are on the property for pratice. 

Private lessons at your place are also available.
